I can also no longerĪccess windows update in settings (it never loads), and any attempt to do a reset or system recovery results in a BSOD after restart with WDF_VIOLATION. The issue is gone in safe mode, but still happens in a clean boot in normal start up. I completed a system recovery to the day before and the issue was still there.
Computer will operate fine for aboutĢ0 minutes and then freeze for a few before a BSOD DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. It has operated fine since then, until 2 days ago. I initially got the BSOD, but after some research fixed it by disabling the shutdown settings. I have an HP ENVY H8-1414 PC and updated to Windows 10 a few months ago.
